As we have 10 players this year it makes it slightly more tricky to organise the match play, but with help from the other golfers we have come up with the format below which involves one four ball and two three balls, the four ball is standard two vs two players but the three balls involves 2 of one team Vs one of the other, this is where the team captains will have to get clever in their team selection.
There will be one point available for each match with an available 9 points available for the 3 days, making this the Race to 5.
Team captains will submit their match play team selections for the first day on the plane trip on the way out there, then the subsequent two rounds will be submitted on the morning of each round. Each submission will have to be handed in at the same time to avoid any potential last minute switches.
Match Play Games
Group 1 – Three Ball
Group 2 – Three Ball
Group 3 – Four Ball
Normal stableford rules apply for the match play, meaning you will have to score at least a point on a hole to win the hole.
Stableford points will be in play for each golfer too and their will be prizes for eash highest scoring 2 golfers on each day and then overall after 3 days, but this will be fairly insignificant as this year is all about the Chateaubriand Cup. As always the losing team will have to pay for the dinner of the opposition.
